As the end of 2022 approaches, we have solidified many events for 2023, including the Chávez Fun Fair! Check out our Events Page and mark your calendars – we hope to see you there!

The Chavez PTO is SO EXCITED to be back with you all for another school year at Chavez Elementary! We wanted to introduce you to what the PTO does!

The PTO (parent teacher organization) is a group of parent and teacher volunteers who work together to benefit the students and staff at Chavez Elementary.

The PTO is always busy! What do we do with our time and your generous donations? Here are just a few things our time and your donated funds were able to accomplish last year:

• Fun events, including the Cheetah Chase and the Fall Fun Find
• Community building events, such as the school-wide Build-a-Cheetah day
• Staff appreciation events, including events during teacher appreciation week and dinners during late night conferences
• The Holiday Cheer Drive, providing gifts for Chavez families in need
• The school community garden project
• Purchasing needed materials for the school – including large purchases such as outdoor picnic tables and a set of pedometers for gym class and smaller purchases such as classroom books and posters, flexible classroom seating options, recess equipment, and many more.

With your continued support, we hope to make this year another great one. Thanks everyone for being a part of the Chavez family!

We’re planning fun events this year, including a return of the Fun Fair, another fantastic Cheetah Chase, and the year-ending teacher dunking and Wisconsin Brewing Company! Coming up in October, we’ll be hosting our first ever outdoor movie night.

There are so many ways for you to connect to our school community – whether it’s helping out in the school garden, getting advice in our Facebook group, joining us at Pastries with the Principal or volunteering at an event.
