CHÁVEZ NEWS:

Spread some holiday cheer by donating new or gently used unwrapped toys to your fellow Chávez families! NOW thru 12/3!
Toys can be dropped off outside of the school office. All donations go directly to families within the Chávez community.
Great ideas for toys are:
Dolls, Trucks, Books, Games, Puzzles, Action Figures, Sports Equipment, Educational Toys, Art Supplies, etc. While this is only a suggestion of items you can choose to donate, please refrain from sending in anything that promotes violence such as toy guns or weapons of any kind. Please no toys that are broken, have missing parts, or are scribbled on.
***There is a High Demand for gifts for 4th & 5th grade aged children. ***
Additional items needed: wrapping paper, tape, gift bags & tissue paper.
Toy Distribution
The toys collected will be offered to the Chávez Community during two nights of free ‘shopping.’ Parents in need are invited to attend one of the following nights:
● Tuesday, December 4th , 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM @ High Ridge Trail- The Pines Office
● Tuesday, December 11th , 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM @ Cesar Chávez Elementary School
Parents will get tickets for each child they are in need of a gift for. Wrapping stations will be available to get the gifts wrapped before parents leave. This is a parent’s only event; please do your best to arrange alternate childcare during this time.
Don’t stop reading now!
We need volunteers to distribute and wrap gifts! Tuesday, December 11th from 5:30 – 7:30 at Chávez.  If you’d like to help, please email: CesarChavezPTOnews@gmail.com for information!

PTO VOLUNTEER NEEDS:

View Positions & Sign Up HERE!

Everyone loves the events put on by the PTO, with the Fun Fair being the big one. We need people to step up and take on the lead roles for these events in order for them to happen. As of right now, our main needs are Fun Fair/Online Auction Chairs  to head up the Fun Fair planning, as well as Chairs for each sub-committee for the Fun Fair: Prizes, Food, Booths, etc. These positions don’t have to be huge jobs, if enough people help out. Grab a friend or two and have some fun planning! Please think about taking on a lead role in a PTO event so that we can continue providing these opportunities for our kids. If you have questions or want to know more before committing, please email us and I’d love to talk to you about it.
