Staff Appreciation Positions - VACANT

There are numerous opportunities to help with Staff Appreciation throughout the school year. We are looking for a Committee of 2-3 people to head up each event. Positions are listed below:

  • Spring Conference Meal Committee - April 11th 11:00am

Time Requirement: Approx 8 hours split between committee members

Work within allowed budget to plan theme/food items guided by data from previous years, work with Volunteer Coordinator on Signup Genius to obtain food donations/monetary donations from families, Setup and Cleanup.

  • Teacher Appreciation Week Committee - May 6th - May 10th

Time Requirement: Approx 10 hours split between committee members

Work within allowed budget to plan theme/food items guided by data from previous years, work with Volunteer Coordinator on Signup Genius to obtain food donations/monetary donations from families, plan teacher gifts/treats, etc. Setup and Cleanup.

Fun Fair Coordinators (4) - VACANT

Come one, come all to the greatest show on earth...the Chávez Fun Fair - Saturday, March 2nd 2019

But wait - the show can't go on if we don't have people to plan it!

We need:

•Fun Fair Booth Coordinator
•Fun Fair Prize Coordinator
•Fun Fair Decor Coordinator
•Fun Fair Food Coordinator

These 4 Coordinators will each head up their own committee of volunteers to plan, organize and execute their area of the Fun Fair! Our Volunteer Coordinator will assist you in finding volunteers to fill out your committee. Fun Fair Chairs from previous years will also be readily available to assist you. You will work with the PTO Board to establish and maintain a budget for your area. These positions are the key to a successful Fun Fair - without them, the Fair will not happen!

Time Requirement: Approx 20 hours split between committee members beginning Dec 2018 thru March 2019 (usually nights/weekends or whenever you can fit it in)

Online Auction Coordinators (2) - VACANT

The Chávez Online Auction is the #1 Fundraiser for our school - raising roughly $10,000 this past year, of which ALL goes right back into our school! What an important project to be a part of!

These 2 Coordinators will head up their own committee of volunteers to plan, organize, solicit donations and execute the Chávez Online Auction that leads up to the Fun Fair! Our Volunteer Coordinator will assist you in finding volunteers to fill out your committee. Auction Chairs from previous years will also be readily available to assist you. You will work with the PTO Board to establish and maintain a budget for your area. These positions are the key to a successful Auction - without them, the Auction will not happen!

Time Requirement: Approx 20 hours split between committee members beginning January 2019 thru March 2019 (usually nights/weekends or whenever you can fit it in)
