We need you. 🙂 Whether you prefer to volunteer behind-the-scenes or be a public leader, there’s room for you in our PTO. Contact us to get started at president@chavezpto.org.

Volunteer coordinator – Be a welcoming face for our event volunteers. Help new volunteers learn the ropes and help us recruit volunteers for bigger projects. Help us make volunteering with the PTO fun and easy.

Newsletter crew – Prepare content for the monthly letter. You can prep the newsletters early the summer and then just plug in the templated info during the year.

Bucky Book coordinator – Our first big fundraiser of 2021-2022 will be Bucky Book sales. Help us coordinate this project so we can make it easy and fun for families.

Fall Activity coordinator – Typically we have a dance mid-fall. Depending on pandemic conditions in the fall, we might be able to do an in-person event or a virtual event.

Fun Fair Committee – Work typically kicks off in January to prepare for the March Fun Fair. We need leads for the decorations, activities, and food committees.

Fun Fair Auction – Typically one of our biggest fundraisers of the year. We need volunteers to coordinate the auction overall and to start asking for donations. We have a process and our previous contacts for you to use.

Treasurer Assistant – Start learning the ropes of our treasurer position. Ideally, you’d be interested in stepping into the treasurer position the following year. Great for someone who’s organized and likes details. Don’t worry – our books are in order, so this is an important but not overwhelming position.

Restaurant Nights – Work with another coordinator to contact restaurants to organize donation nights. We’d love ideas to turn these into fun community events, such as picnic nights.

Communications committee – Help get the word out! Help us share the message of what PTO does and why it matters. This could include newsletters, website, emails, sandwich boards, Facebook updates, or other tools.
